How the marks work

A meaningful submission earns 2 participation marks if first submitted on or before the assignment’s start date, or 1 if first submitted later. Missing or non-meaningful work earns 0 participation marks. Quality adds 0, 0.5 or 1 mark.

The start date is the assignment’s creation date if it was a Tuesday or Thursday; otherwise it is the next Tuesday or Thursday. Dates use India Standard Time, including the whole start day. The first submission date determines timing. The latest submitted work determines meaningfulness and quality.

Each Penguins part has half weight; together they count as one assignment. Rankings use total marks, then participation marks. Students tied on both share a rank; alphabetical order within a tie has no prize significance.

This final record includes all work downloaded on 18 September 2026 at 11:28 IST, including overdue submissions under the same scoring scheme. All assignment deadlines have passed. Later uploads do not change these results.
